[SBB] Palyformes birdathon results

Hi all:

Our Palo Alto Adult School birding class formed a team
of 6 for the Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society's
birdathon. The Palyformes took to the field at 7:30
yesterday a.m. and identified 115 species during our
7:30 -- 4:30 time period.

Most of the guided teams, both short (4 hours) and
long (pre-dawn to dusk), have space available for a
wonderful tour of birding locales and the best of the
county's birds. www.scvas.org

Lowlight: Much cliff swallow nestbuilding at Coast
Casey forebay in Mt. View, quite active on Wednesday
morning, was non-existent yesterday. I wish I'd taken
pictures Wed. Anyone who walks the area regularly who
knows what happened at the pumphouse/maintenance
building on the northwest corner of the forebay
between Wednesday and Saturday, please contact me. If
anyone has pictures from the last week, I'd be
extremely interested.
