[SBB] Morgan Hill doves

Hi all,

In the interest of my dove education I went to the area of the Morabito
residence on East Middle Ave. this morning 09/23 and was there from 7:20 to
about 9:10. First things first. I did not refind the White-winged Dove
reported by Steve Rottenborn on 09/19. I counted 35 EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVEs
at the peak but there could have been some more. There were 2 lighter
toned doves. One gave me a good view of the under tail area and I could see
the white under tail coverts and all white outer tail feather webs. The
black at the base of the tail was almost totally covered by the under tail
coverts. Seems to be RINGED TURTLE-DOVE.

There was a SORA in the pond next to the residence. While I was watching
the pond, 15 CANADA GEESE and 2 very small-billed CACKLING GEESE flew in
for some bathing. A COOPER'S HAWK watched the residence area for awhile
and then departed.
