[SBB] ECC

Good evening all....

Went to Sunnyvale Baylands to try to find my glasses, no luck and no birds as it was to darn windy....

So...I decided to hop on 237 and go for a quick walk around the ECC.  Driving in there were Western Sandpipers, Killdeer, Greater Yellowlegs and some Northern Shoeless.

Up at the ECC, there were to great looking Barn Owls in the box...right at the opening for great binco views.....walked out to the levee and surprise....one White Pelican on the first island with a zillion gulls and two Brown Pelicans in the water!  How odd was that. A Great Blue Heron and six Great Egrets were along the levee to the right.

Walked the board walk back to my car.  Sat on the bench and watched within a couple of feet, Western and Least Sandpipers, Willets, Black-necked Stilts, tons of peeps.  One sandpiper stood out fromt he rest.... It has a white breast, fine faint line on the breast, grayish body and a longer bill then the western.  It was bigger than the western (taller and a tad fatter)....on the size maybe of a dunlin....very odd looking bird.....it really stood out....so if anyone is out on the boardwalk....maybe you can find the bird and let me know what it was.
Also had a killer look at a Savannah Sparrow....

At the ECC garden was a White-crowned Sparrow and a Fox Sparrow. Anna's Hummers were all over the place.

Stopped at State and Spreckles, had two Phalaropes and a zillion shorebirds....

Went over to SFBBO for the Bank Swallow....success...only one in a large number of swallows....

Wishing you all good birding....and my best regards,
Linda Sullivan
