[SBB] Vaux's Swift, Cassins Vireo

Guadalupe Oak Grove Park had a few more surprises this morning. I heard a Cassins Vireo from the parking lot and found it in the second tree along the wooded trail. It was very gray and white, really a neat looking bird. It's song was rather indistinct but still recognizable. I found two male Wilson's Warblers rather easily for a change, along the same wooded trail. Orange crowned Warblers appear to be common in the park this spring. It will be interesting to see if they nest here.

A Vaux's Swift was flying in the open area along with one White-throated Swift and several dozen Violet-Green Swallows. I watched it for quite some time and in flew overhead at one point.

I was happy to find the Cal. Towhee is back on her nest near the Villa's fence. A pair of W. Bluebirds have started a nest at the southern end of the quarry trail south of the stairs.
