All,
A belated report on a trip to the Sunnyvale Water Treatment Facility by
Frank Vanslager and I last Friday (5/7). Things were pretty
slow with the best birds being two SEMIPLAMATED PLOVERS on the dike
near the algae mat in the far northeastern corner of the larger (West) pond (a
dozen LEAST SANDPIPERS were nearby on the edge of the channel) and up to ten
GREATER YELLOWLEGS were in the Lockheed Martin ponds and adjacent
channel. Ducks included a couple NORTHERN SHOVELERS, CINNAMON TEAL,
GREEN-WINGED TEAL and at least one AMERICAN WIGEON.
Take care,
Bob Reiling
