[SBB] Grant Park and Sunnyvale WPCP

Folks:

Yesterday, 7/13/06, my wife and I hiked out the Canada de Pala Trail 
from Twin Gates to the Line Shack and back at Joseph Grant CP.  Best 
bird was a PRAIRIE FALCON along the ridge.  I saw four HORNED LARKS, 
a LARK SPARROW, and six GRASSHOPPER SPARROWS.  Most of these 
grassland birds were in the last two miles.

Today, 7/14/06, I cycled around the oxidation ponds at the Sunnyvale 
WPCP.  I saw only two LESSER SCAUP and no young as of yet (it is 
still early).  Returning shorebirds included two alternate plumaged 
LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS.
