Howdy all....
The birding in my yard is still great even with these hot days, although
the birds are truly stressed (beaks are open). The Black-headed Grosbeaks
still come daily and make a racket when I go out in the yard...never knew they
were such a noisy bird...they love the bird bath....
Here's my question: I have a pair of Western Tanagers coming daily to my
yard...both adults... and now I have what look like two young....I thought these
birds were migrants and long gone? Are the records of breeding here?
I can't find a picture of tanager young...checked Sibley's no picture
there....anyone know where I can see a picture of a young Western tanager?
Thanks so much....stay cool....
My best regards,
Linda Sullivan
