I saw the LITTLE BLUE HERON as the bird foraged for two minutes or so
at the down stream end of Lake Almaden 500 feet short of the light
rail station about 10:15 or so. There is a pond area that precedes
the lake turning back into a stream. The gravel strand there was
occupied by 8 CANADA GEESE and the LITTLE BLUE HERON.
When I returned after 1pm I saw it flushed by a man and his two
unleased dogs. 8 Kildeer were flushed as well. There are 100 CLIFF
SWALLOWS nesting under the Coleman Avenue pedestrian bridge. About
12 NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOWS were flying in and out of the
holes beneath the Coleman auto bridge.
Saw the BELTED KING FISHER close to SCVWD over the creek.
