[SBB] Possibly injured Red-Tail on Stanford campus

While walking around Escondido Village on the Stanford campus this evening, we noticed a red-tailed hawk giving distress calls from the second-to-highest level's balcony on the Quillen highrise building. There was another red-tail perched on the adjacent corner of the same building. Since we live in Escondido Village and we were told under penalty of death that we are not to own so much as a dust mite for a pet, we're guessing that the hawk is injured and not a falconer's bird.

We couldn't get a hold of any of the local wildlife rescue operations. Does anybody else on here know of resources we could pursue to make sure the raptor is helped? We can't enter the building and we don't know who lives in that particular apartment, so we can't be absolutely sure that this is an emergency, but better safe than sorry.

Thanks,
Peter and Amanda Lewis
