All:
Thanks to directions from Dean Manley (given as we looked for the
Red-naped Sapsucker; not seen by the time I left him at 12:30 pm), I
was able to find the continuing American Redstart at the Coyote Creek
GC yesterday.
I entered the course from the Monterey Road entrance, which is 1-1/2
miles south of Bailey Ave, and parked. From there I walked north along
the paved bike trail less than a half-mile, to the Sycamore Rest Area,
where I began my search. I continued north 150 yards to a large bay
tree on the east side of the trail (where Dean said the bird had been
seen), then another 60 yards north to a line of live oaks on the same
side of the trail, where I found the bird.
Thanks to others who have posted the continuing presence of this and
other birds.
