[SBB] more Count Week Birds

All,

Mike Mammoser and I saw 2 YELLOW WARBLERS at the EEC butterfly garden in
Alviso today 12/14/06, and then found a 3rd YELLOW WARBLER in a tree
near the bend in the EEC entrance road. Also still present in the
butterfly garden was a HOUSE WREN. When we left, the RUFF was still
present with 4 LESSER YELLOWLEGS in the pond south of the entrance road
(earlier Mike Mammoser had seen 5 LESSER YELLOWLEGS here). The RUFF is
fairly large compared to both Lesser Yellowlegs and dowitchers and is
presumably a male. It has an all-black bill and dull flesh-colored legs
(grayish pink). This looks to be the same bird present here on 5 Nov
(photographed by Tom Grey, see
http://www.pbase.com/tgrey/image/69775197) and seen at the CCFS
waterbird pond 9 Nov.

A careful search of the blackbird flock along Grand Blvd in Alviso
turned up only 3 male TRICOLORED BLACKBIRDS among the many Red-winged
Blackbirds and European Starlings.
