After lunch today, 8/23/06, I visited the Alviso Marina CP and walked
north to Salt Pond A13. Birds were much as reported by Mike Mammoser
in the past week. In the impoundment there were still two juvenile
SNOWY PLOVERs, which appeared to be growing in their wing and tail
feathers. I counted 4 WILSON'S PHALAROPES and 6 RED-NECKED PHALAROPE
in the impoundment. Salt Pond A13 held 2250+ RED-NECKED
PHALAROPE. There were also five EARED GREBES in both partial
alternate and basic plumage and at least 3 BROWN PELICANS.
