Two pictures of one of the adults at the Shoreline nest mound, taken
yesterday and today. http://www.pbase.com/tgrey/latest. Juveniles were in
the grass, wouldn't give me a clear view for a photo.
Also in the same gallery, a selection of shorebirds, mostly photo-ed along
the entrance road at EEC/Alviso early today and yesterday morning.
Last week I was able to photo quite a wrestling match between one of the
Snowy Egret "branchers" and a feeding adult, at the Baylands duckpond. From
what I've seen, the adults keep on bringing back prey to regurgitate as the
young mature, but they require more and more in the way of serious bill
tugging before they'll cough it up.
