Bill,
If you're interested, there have been lots (~2 dozen) mergansers on pond
A4 in Sunnyvale, ~30% males. The males were RED-BREASTED MERGANSERS but
I couldn't see the females well enough to rule out common mergansers. I
saw them last week (3/9) and the week before. I saw one male today but
went around a different loop so I didn't get a good idea of the
count.
