Re: [SBB] Cedar waxwings



Folks:

Cedar Waxwings normally nest no further south than Humboldt County, but 
there are a number of extralimital records, including Orange County.  We 
have only one breeding record locally with adults feeding young in Palo 
Alto on 16 Jun 2002.  Very surprising is the early record this year in San 
Mateo County--very wierd.

A few waxwings stay on into the first and second weeks in June, but as far 
as we know these are not birds that remain to breed.
