Today (Thursday) at 5 p.m., a flock of 18 BLACK SKIMMERS were flying together 
and skimming the water surface around "Skimmer Island" on the Mountain View 
side of the Adobe Creek Trail near the pump house and bleachers.   (The trail 
is accessed by an entrance at the corner of San Antonio Road and Terminal Way 
at the Palo Alto/Mountain View border.)    I watched them putting on quite a 
show for about 15 minutes.   This is the first time I have seen BLACK SKIMMERS 
at this location in 2005.
