At 12 noon today from the southern end of the boat launch, Frank  Vanslager 
and I saw the adult BALD EAGLE perched high on the western  edge of Calero 
Reservoir.  Earlier we had tried for and missed the Bald  Eagle and the 
Ferruginous Hawk (off Santa Teresa Blvd.) but had a pair of  HOODED MERGANSERS in the 
pond nearest the club house at the Coyote Creek Golf  Course.  A good sized 
flock of Blackbirds on the golf course failed to  produce anything different while 
Almaden Lake Park also failed to  produce anything of note.
