The weather was great (warm, clear and sunny) and we had several opportunities for viewing quickly moving flock(s) of RED CROSSBILLS while the RED-BREASTED NUTHATCHES seemed to be everywhere (outnumbering the more common WHITE-BREASTED NUTHATCHES). Unfortunately we dipped on the Varied Thrush (habitat really doesn't look very good for them). Birder's spotted spotting birds included Peggy Don (she reported a flock of 25 RECR), her husband Bill?, Jack Cole and Linda Sullivan.
