There were female WDs in the group but I did not count them precisely. While walking along Alamitos Road, several WESTERN BLUE BIRDS were close by and perched conveniently for us to view. A GREAT BLUE HERON flew by and luckily landed on the nearby shore for us to observe. Around noon we were hiking at Almaden Quicksilver County Park when the familiar 'bouncing ball' song was heard at the edge of the trail. We were able to view a WRENTIT in the brambly bushes just off the trail. This is fun !
