This morning Pat Kenny and I went to Alviso.  There were no geese to speak 
of at Arzino, but the previously reported SANDERLING was on the second 
island in A16 at EEC.  At the Alviso Marina we and Diane from Berkeley had 
excellent views of the GREATER ROADRUNNER on the ramp up to the closed 
parking area.  It spent a lot of time with all outer feathers on its back 
erect, exposing a wide swath of down from neck to tail, always with its back 
to the sun.  While we waited for the Roadrunner to put in an appearance we 
saw overhead a flock of 8 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE and a flock of 19 
presumably SNOW GEESE (all the same size; I can't tell them from ROSS' in 
flight).
