I read about the Great Blue at Guadalupe Oak Grove
posted a few days ago.  This is not the first time
that species has hunted there.  I posted it a few
years ago.  (I would have to look up the date on my
saved calendars.)  It remained there for quite some
time, but I believe it was in the Fall rather than the
Winter.  There certainly is plenty of rodent food for
the bird.
