I didn't see any in Monte Bello OSP yesterday but today I saw one or two in a Liquid Amber tree in Cupertino on the corner of Hyannisport and Linda Vista Drive. It (they?) was with a flock of 20 AMERICAN GOLDFINCHes. I saw my first AMERICAN ROBIN of the year with a Red-shafted NORTHERN FLICKER in a tree on Hyannisport. At the Bubb percolation pond there was a female COMMON GOLDENEYE and at least two male and a female BUFFLEHEAD. I lost interest in counting when I spotted a gorgeous male WOOD DUCK. I left quickly to get a camera when I ran into James Turley who had a camera. Perhaps he took smoe nice shots of it in the fading light.
