There was an Osprey fishing over the dam. He landed on the dead tree on the west side of the dam for awhile then flew off toward the southeast. At 11:30-ish. I arrived at Shoreline as Al Eisner left and he gave me an update on the target birds. I was lucky as the Pelagic Cormorant was preening on the solar aitiator (?) so I got great views through the scope. I located 1 male and 1 female Barrow's Goldeneye, but missed the Merganser. Some kayakers got in the water and all the birds moved to the (then) far side of the lake. Once I got back I couldn't find it.
