All of us looking for the Merlin pair seen two days ago. I found the female perched in a Sycamore north of the lake, but it flew off before the others arrived. We managed to see a good variety of birds from that one area. Off to the water district, another place a Merlin had been recently seen. The Peregrine Falcons were perched it their Sycamore tree. Surprisingly I found the Am. Bittern at the south end of the pond, which I hadn't seen since last fall. I had one more place to check for the Merlin, Guadalupe Oak Grove Park. All last winter an immature Merlin was seen perched in the same spot in the same oak tree on the ridge. And that's where I found the male Merlin today. I walked up the stairs to the ridge for a closer look. Beautiful bird!! This park is only half a mile from its perch at the lake a few days ago. I think I got my pair. just lucky Janna Pauser _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
