At 9:30, 4 male WILD TURKEYS were in full display mode for about 30 female-young males, all of whom were totally oblivious to the show. This was in the parking lot-picnic area near the horse corrals at Calero Reservoir CP. A bit earlier, the adult BALD EAGLE was in an oak on the east side of Calero Reservoir. Along Bailey Road opposite the entrance to IBM was a large blackbird flock with REDWING, BREWER'S & TRICOLORED BLACKBIRDs and also BROWN-HEADED COWBIRDS. No sign of any grackles at the Coyote Creek Golf Club. At Henry Coe SP, there were a gazillion RED-BREASTED NUTHATCHES including 3 flocks of 15-20 birds each. Also seen was a very highly-colored RED-BREASTED SAPSUCKER. A search of about 2 hours did not find any crossbills.
