Birders-

The Alum Rock Park Western Screech-Owl was visible in its hole today around 
2pm.  It's still in the same hole in the same tree: the leaning sycamore just 
south of the YSI building. However, it wasn't visible from the paved path under 
the tree. I had to go up the road behind the YSI building to look down into 
the hole to see the owl. The view was unobstructed as all surrounding foliage 
was gone. Also looked for dippers at several places along the creek but didn't 
see any.
