Hello All,
 
I spent Day 1 (Jan 1, 2005) around the Calero / Almaden area where I kept  
criss-crossing paths with Kathy Parker and Janna Pauser throughout the day -  
thanks to both of you for sharing some of your good birds!
 
I have a few birds of interest to report -
 
A male HOODED MERGANSER at Almaden Reservoir
A juvenile GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE and the adult BALD EAGLE at Calero  
Reservoir - also six AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS
One BONAPARTE'S GULL at Chesbro Reservoir
And an ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER at Edenvale Garden Park
 
Biggest misses of the day were no Wild Turkeys and no Tricolored Blackbirds  
seen at Calero today.
 
Kathy and Janna may have more to report.
