This bird was spotted at around noon just before we headed back to the car. We had many of the "Usual Suspects" with BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS being the most numerous (a couple birds were already getting black bellies). Other species noted included LONG-BILLED CURLEW, MARBLED GODWIT, WILLET, Dowitchers (at least one SHORT-BILLED was identified), DUNLIN, WESTERN SANDPIPERS and LEAST SANDPIPERS. Gulls were also well represented and included at least one MEW GULL. A "lost" HORNED GREBE was with three EARED GREBES on the western edge of Salt Pond B1. Earlier we had a large (I assume a female) dark phase RED-TAILED HAWK perched near a smaller (male?) light phase RED-TAILED HAWK on the southern edge of the Shoreline overflow parking lot. Even earlier we dipped in a brief attempt to re-find the Northern Waterthrush in the marsh north of Charleston Rd..
