Some people were on the wooden platform overlooking Salt Pond A-18, so I knew I needed to look elsewhere. The gull was seen on a mud islet on A-16 next to an adult Glaucous-winged Gull, so I could note the size comparison with the Glaucous Gull as a heftier, more barrel-chest bird. The overall pale coloring and the bi-colored bill (pink at base and black at tip) were also diagnostic. Also, one ROSS'S GOOSE was with a Canada Goose flock at Arzino Ranch. That's it for now - Ann Verdi _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
