I wanted to provide you with an important update. As of Sunday, Feb. 13, the owners of Mercy Hot Springs will be charging birder's $5 per person to come onto their property to see the LONG EARED OWLS. Needless to say the large numbers of Long Eared Owls has created quite a lot of bird watching activity. All these interested people have also impacted the Mercy Hot Springs establishment. People are coming and going and using restrooms etc. The owners have raised the fee to $5 per person. They also ask that soon after you arrive one person per group gather your money and present it to one of their employees. They would also appreciate as little impact to their customers as possible. One last note - also try and use common birding etiquette as not to disturb the "sleeping" owls.
