It then amazingly flew right by me and disappeared to the NE behind the reeds. I could not relocate it. Looking back toward the marsh again, I noticed another large white bird, obviously a goose. I went over to the RR crossing and walked up the tracks to see it was a Ross's Goose. It flew off with hundreds of Shovelers and disappeared in the sky.
