Speaking of Western Bluebirds, I saw a nice one (male) yesterday
at Rancho San Antonio, pulling up a big fat worm from the new
grass across from the tennis courts.

This afternoon at the Los Gatos perc ponds, there were Cackling
Geese (I think -- only a little bit bigger than mallards, short
bills, steep foreheads, and short necks compared to the much larger
Canada Geese which were also there), several Buffleheads (I saw three
or four males and a possible female), and a Ruby Crowned Kinglet.
