On my return I tried again. Disappointed, I sat on the low bench under the Magnolia tree. After about 10 minutes, around 3:30 pm the sapsucker flew into the lowest branches over the path to the chickens. It appeared to be most interested in the bud of the tree. After about 2 minutes someone came through the gate, the bird flew and I was unable to refind it. Rick Schermerhorn [[email protected]] Why Wait?
