All,
After an unsuccessful try for the Philadelphia Vireo this morning along
Stevens Creek, I also failed to re-find the Stilt Sandpiper in the pond at State
and Spreckles in Alviso. The only bird of note for me today was an adult,
mostly basic plumaged DUNLIN in New Chicago Marsh near the Environmental
Education Center. The overall plain brownish-gray bird had just a couple small
dark spots on it's lower chest. (From a distance it had me thinking Curlew
Sandpiper for a while.)
Take care,
Bob Reiling
