SBBers,
In additon to the other birds mentioned by Dave Weber today (09-01-05) at EEC was an ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER in the same vicinity of the Willow Flycatchers. Two BARN OWLs were in the box.
In the afternoon I stopped by the Palo Alto Baylands. In a euc by the ranger station were an ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER, YELLOW WARBLER and a WILLOW FLYCATCHER. There were two Black Phoebes who weren't too pleased with their new flycatcher neighbor. They chased it whenver it settled on a branch in their area.
Across the way on the mudflats was a WHIMBREL. Its lower mandible was pink with a dark tip. The lighting was very bright but I think that the edging of the feathers were buffy.
