I rechecked Stevens Creek Park for the juvenile Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker
this morning (I had gotten only a distant view on a previous visit), and
found it in its favorite sycamore at the Bay Tree picnic area. From 9:15
to 9:30 (and likely a wider interval) it worked a single spot, allowing for
prolonged scope viewing (albeit in the shade).
No luck with Black-throated Blue Warbler this morning. Like yesterday
(when I arrived at Sunnyvale Baylands Park just before noon), a number of
birders were searching, but no-one saw the bird during the time I was there.
The Golden-crowned Kinglets were putting on a neat show on both days, some-
times not much above eye level.
