All,
Over lunch today 10/28/05, I made a quick stop at Sunnyvale Baylands
Park and refound Richard's WHITE-THROATED SPARROW. It is a hatch-year
bird with tan crown stripes and a fair amount of dull streaking on the
chest. It was still at the base of the grassy hill to the left (north)
of the "1993 Baylands Grove" wall, in the green vegetation under one of
the trees. Santa Clara County year bird #260 for me!
A quick check of the Meadow Trail failed to produce any rare warblers,
but at least 3 GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLETS were still there.
