Hi,
At around noon today there was a CASPIAN TERN in pond A4. In the 2 or 3
minutes I watched it caught two fish: quite a pace.
There were 4 male BLUE-WINGED TEAL in the channel on the left when
traveling from the old dump hill at SWPCP toward Moffet. There were
females with them but I didn't ID them. There were roughly 2 dozen
cinnamon teal as well and at least one green-winged teal. Kinda fun to
get all three species at once.
A burrowing owl sat in a small culvert at the treatment plant (seen from
the path to A4). I'm surprised it doesn't worry about the creature that
dug that home.
