Drove to Ed Levin this morning to build some appetite for the feast, and
appropriately enough 5 WILD TURKEYS crossed the road just before the
turnoff to Sandy Wool Lake. At the lake, there were 2 BARN OWLS in the
pines near the dog area, and 2 WILSON'S SNIPE right out in the open in the
grass across from the hang-glider parking area. Pix of the snipe (and a
magpie) at http://www.pbase.com/tgrey/latest.
I'll report later on responses to yesterday's accipiter pix -- suffice it
to say the ones so far have been all over the place.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Tom Grey
