Birders-
Nothing unusual. On 11/7 an Osprey was perched across the slough from the
where the EEC road curves N in Alviso. On 11/8 around 3pm the Alum Rock Western
Screech Owl was in its hole. Today I drove through Ed Levin Park and noticed
the water level in Sandy Wool Lake is very low and attracting shorebirds. A
drive-by viewing yielded Greater Yellowlegs, Dunlins, and Dowitchers, Long-billed
I presume. Also checked the Elm Picnic area where there were owl pellets all
over the place, but no owls.

Milpitas
