Randy,

I would guess that it's more likely that a Great Horned Owl predated  
on the Barn Owl. They're both present at the park and their schedules  
coincide, whereas a Red-shouldered Hawk and a Barn Owl may rarely  
have a chance to meet. And judging by where the Barn Owls at Ed Levin  
day-roost, I don't think a hawk could get to them.
