Sunday AM at at Ulistac Natural Area in Santa Clara.
Was greeted by a HOODED ORIOLE right at the Lick Mill Park parking lot.
Near the North leeve ramp, a singing CASSIN'S VIREO led to great close
views of the bird. Also saw at least two SWAINSON's THRUSH. One did its
song a couple of times and the other betrayed its presence first by its
call.
A couple of WILSON'S WARBLERS, an ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER, a WESTERN
TANAGER
and several BULLOCK's ORIOLEs.
BEWICK'S WREN carrying food and copulating BROWN TOWHEEs provided
evidence of breeding, along with a juvenile DARK-EYED JUNCO, STARLINGS
and BLACK PHOEBEs.
