All,
Best birds this morning for Frank Vanslager and I were a WILSON'S WARBLER
and a YELLOW WARBLER in the area around the Ranger Residence alongside the Palo
Alto Duck Pond, two to three WESTERN TANAGER (all male) at the end of
Enbarcadero Way and along Geng Rd. (at least one female). Earlier we had checked
out Shoreline Lake and Salt Pond A1. The Salt Pond had two BLACK SKIMMER,
lots of FORSTER'S TERN and an adult male SURF SCOTER on the island in the
southeast corner of the pond. At least two BONAPARTE'S GULL were perched out in
the pond with Forster's Terns. Later we had lots of AMERICAN GOLDFINCH along
Matadero Creek.
Take care,
Bob Reiling
