[SBB] TUDU, EUWI, GRRO

Hi Birders. I headed down the hill for a bit of
county birding this morning. At Shorline Lake was (as
usual) a nice male BARROW'S GOLDENEYE, giving
fantastic looks only a few yards from the edge of the
shore. On Salt Pond A1 were 23 FORSTER'S TERNS, which
seemed like a rather high count, though perhaps its
not. At Salt Pond A2W I had VERY distant,
exceptionally poor looks at the TUFTED DUCK. I'll
just take your collective word for it that he's got a
nice tuft, since he was about a mile distant, on the
far side of the pond. This was at about 11. Closer
to shore, the two male and a female EURASIAN WIGEONS
were stunning, as usual. Finally, at long last, I
caught up with the famous Alviso ROADRUNNER, singing
in the construction yard that used to be the parking
lot for the Alviso Marina. I wish I'd remembered
about the Northern Waterthrush, and I had no luck with
the Ross' Goose (though I did look). Good birding,

Matt Brady
