Dear Bill;

I saw the bird in the top of a very large oak tree in the front yard of an
old (1903) house on San Pedro. Unfortunately I do not know the address, but
here are directions to a very good vantage point in a large field behind
that house:

from 101 south, turn right (west) on E. Dunne; turn left (south) on
Butterfield Blvd; turn left (east) on San Pedro Ave; turn right (south) on
San Benito; turn left (east) on San Gabriel. Go one short block to the
point where San Gabriel takes a right hand turn. Stop at that point and
park. You will be facing a large field -- on your left, at the northwest
corner of that field is the old house, which has a number of old, very
dilapidated shacks and barns in its backyard. The big oak is in the front
yard of that house, but it's very easy to see from this location behind the
backyard.  Good Luck!

Jack
