[SBB] 4 Jul 05

Today, 4 Jul 05, I returned to the CCFS waterbird pond for another look at
shorebirds. The composition was pretty much the same as yesterday (the 3
LESSER YELLOWLEGS were still there), with the addition of 3 SEMIPALMATED
PLOVERS. Also, there were 300+ WESTERN SANDPIPERS today and I was able to
find a single adult SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER among them. I found this bird on
3 separate occasions during the hour or so that I walked around the pond
perimeter.

I checked out the impoundment north of the Alviso Marina, but it was
generally empty of any birds except a few AVOCETS.
