All:
I apologize for not noticing that the Coyote Hills Regional Park trip was
listed as starting one hour earlier than it should’ve been. However, the hearty
6 who showed up a half-hour before the gates opened were rewarded with views
of a peregrine, a perched harrier, some male Ring-necked Pheasants, some ducks,
and numerous red-tails and kites.
It was a pleasant, scenic, if somewhat bird-less, outing; there were almost
no shorebirds. Yet, if I add in those pre-birds and the 4 species seen during
lunch, my day-count was 58.
