[SBB] Monte Bello 2/23/2005

Hello all,

A quick check at Monte Bello's Gate 5 around 7AM yesterday morning 2/23/2005 turned up at least 26 Red Crossbills flying northwest into SM county, eighteen Cedar Waxwings and just a few Pine Siskins. Band-tailed Pigeons were abundant however, with at least 323 observed, mostly in large flyover flocks.

At Hidden Villa, the Yellow-bellied Sapsucker was observed separately by Josh Bennett and I, in and around its favorite Magnolia tree by the chicken house.
