I drove by the same percolation pond this morning to
see if the Red Phalaropes were still there from last
night's drive by. They were gone, but two Eared
Grebes were now present.
As I drove down the neighborhood street I passed an
immature Cooper's Hawk sitting on a light pole and
then much to my surprise I came upon a pair of Western
Bluebirds flitting about with Yellow Rumped Warblers.
I was surprised to find the bluebirds in this
neighborhood situation where concrete and condo's are
the norm and open space is limited.
