[SBB] Owling Hicks Rd. for Dec. 30th CBC?

Hi all!

Does anyone want to join me for early morning CBC owling on Hicks Rd. on December 30th, rain or clear?  You may not actually get to see any owls, but you should hear plenty.  No experience is necessary, but if you happen to have some good owl recordings you can bring along, it would make me feel a whole lot more sane.  Just imagine, me hooting in the hills, for hours in the dark!!  It takes me weeks to get over it...  (Or, if you practice your hoots, you can join in the insanity!)

We'll meet at a flatlands parking lot at 3am, travel together to the the New Almaden entrance of Almaden/Quicksilver County Park and drive over Hicks Rd. past two reservoirs, stopping many times along the way and finishing between 6 and 6:30am.  I'd rather take one car (fewer engines to spook the birds), so e-mail or call me by Thursday midday and we'll arrange a place to meet.  Dressing warmly in rustle-free clothing, (with possible rain gear) is highly recommended.  Don't forget a small flashlight, we walk a little.
